Cascade Pack & Paddle, LLC
The Beauty of Life is Found in Adventure!

Cascade Pack & Paddle, LLC offers Volcano Naturalist guided kayak tours on Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument's Coldwater Lake and kayak tours and kayak camping on the Lewis River's Merwin, Yale and Swift reservoirs.  We offer a number of single day and multiday hikes and snowshoe/cross-country ski trips. Many of our activities are done in partnership with the Mount St. Helens Institute. All activities conducted on the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument are done under the terms of a special use permit issued by the U.S. Forest Service, Gifford Pinchot National Forest.

Kayak Tours

We offer Coldwater Lake kayak tours from May through the end of September. More information can be found at the Kayak Tours page. 

Kayak tours on Lake Merwin, Yale Reservoir and Swift Reservoir in Southwest Washington are offered from April through October. More information can be found at the Kayak Tours page.


 We offer a variety of day hikes and multi-days hikes within the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument. More information can be found at the Hike & Backpack page.

Snowshoeing/Crosscountry Skiing Adventures

For the past two winters we led Snowshoe/Cross-country ski Winter Adventures for the Mount St. Helens Institute.  These trips usually begin in late-January and continued through March.  We snowshoe and cross-country ski to places like June Lake, Ape Cave, Red Rocks Pass, Old Man Pass and Mount Adam's Ice Caves/Natural Bridges.
